A Dictionary Of Idioms

Majorca, Spain-Facebook

Yes it would have been nice to have been in that water today. As it will be nice tomorrow. But I live in Greater Vancouver and not Spain.

I thank God, I am drinking Perrier from France after a day out in the sun.

Points:

For the sake of gaining more potential 'Likes' and Followers quite reluctantly at first today I joined Google+ with more than one Google account and now have two full Google+ accounts with both of my Google/Blogger accounts. I reason now it is for the best, but now I need two sets of more Followers. Previously, I was just on Google+ with my other first blog.

Therefore anyone interested please follow and I will reciprocate in all likelihood, with either blog or both blogs.

My ebook from 2010 has been published on my other blog and in basically two days by my humble standards is doing quite well with pageviews. I reason it may eventually be the top rated post, or close, on the other blog.

It looks like I should have not listened to some supposed experts in attempting to market the ebook online via perhaps questionable professional sites for three years and instead should have just used Blogger where I have been steadily and slowly been building a brand name for myself.

Live and learn. But I discussed such previously in regard to three different internet marketing courses I have taken.

Yes, I will not receive payment this method, but at least I receive traffic which could lead to other career opportunities.

And I had thought of just marketing the project through Blogger in the beginning...

How To Write A Successful Thesis

Not to be confused with

A Dictionary of Idiots

accord (page 1)

The definition on page one notes 'of one's own accord' 'of one's own free will' The statement 'without being forced to' is also added.

Therefore I suppose within compatibilistic freewill, which is limited free will. It could be correctly stated that one chooses freely of his/her own accord via nature, as long as it is understood that God, is the first cause of not forced or coerced, significantly free secondary causes, even if they are viewed as basically virtually taking place simultaneously from a human finite perspective.

pick (someone's) brains (page 37)

To ask someone questions in order to receive ideas.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the present Zombie film and video game craze...

chew the fat (slang) (page 109)

To have a chat or discussion.

This is not necessarily a chat between two very fat people.

a flight of fancy (page 119)

A rather too free use of the imagination.

This is definitely not a flight on Air Transat (Air Sardine Can).

Swallow one's pride (page 369)

That could mean eating one's own experimental meal.

Back in 2002 a certain friend visited and made a special meal called 'Butter'. This was stated with a fancy Queen's English accent. Problem was this dear friend misread the ingredients which were supposed to be majority chocolate and minority butter and basically served butter bars with chocolate covering...

tan (someone's) hide (page 375)

Some people, especially fair skinned Caucasians spend too much time in the tanning booth and end upooking a little alien and should hide from the cameraman/person.
