To argue with a man who has renounced the use and authority of reason, and whose philosophy consists in holding humanity in contempt, is like administering medicine to the dead, or endeavoring to convert an atheist by scripture. Enjoy, sir, your insensibility of feeling and reflecting. It is the prerogative of animals. And no man will envy you these honors, in which a savage only can be your rival and a bear your master.

Briefly
1. Comparing the Facebook image with the cited quotations: A lesson in seeking to find reasonably accurate citations. This academic approach was made crucially important to me by tutors while writing my British dissertation works.
2. It is largely a waste of time to argue with a person that refuses to use reason and instead overly relies on emotions and feelings. At least a person that takes this irrational approach on a certain subject...
