If I Only Had a Brain
I have never been one to claim cognitive near perfection. I have stated that we are finite and sinful within a Christian worldview. Even from a secular perspective, we are finite and imperfect.
Not my usual translation (s) used, but appropriate in this satirical context: James 3:2
New Living Translation (NLT)
2 Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.
However, in light of cumulative events in my personal life and by observing news and media in the public sphere, in this western world, I write this post. For some reason this classic track from 'The Wizard of Oz' (1939) has been going through my limited brain (compared to God) for weeks now. I share this and allow one to apply according to worldview. Interesting, as I rarely view the film.
I think I have observed too many events, personal and public, lately, where people lack common sense. There is too much use of emotional thinking as opposed to reason. Bad things often result.
My friend from Florida. Mr. Jeff Jenkins has often excused and explained this website by stating (paraphrased). 'Well, it is a satire blog.' The song has been causing me internal laughter and so I thought I would share.
