Playing The Game By The Rules

You Tube

I am often a man that looks to better my possibilities in life by not following the rules. By not playing 'the game' within the rules.

If I was challenged in a fight, I would show no interest, but if I did fight, I would not play the game by rules, but within the laws of the land, of course. Decades of martial arts training, including courses from an online mixed martial arts trainer have brought me to such a view.

From a New Testament, gospel perspective, in dealing with God, the infinite, eternal, omnipotent, omniscient God (Revelation 22: the alpha and omega, the beginning and the last); there is no other way than following the rules.

God cannot be outmaneuvered or outsmarted.

The game is played within divine rules as in the atonement and resurrection work of Jesus Christ and his imputed righteousness provided to believers by grace by through faith, not by works, but for good works (Ephesians 2), or one is outside of God's Kingdom everlastingly.

Excellent, but not as interesting as a fat guy Tower of Babel

Genesis 11:1-9 King James Version (KJV)

11 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. 4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. 5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Twenty-Three Inch Arms?

Marvel

At Northview Community Church, this afternoon, my friend Kelly Burchert suggested, perhaps satirically (?) that I have 23 inch arms due to my (paraphrased) massive muscle frame. Twenty-three inches is doubtful as true, but thank you for that blessing my friend!

P.S. Kelly, obviously, like me, you are not politically correct as you did not use metric. This is Canada, eh...
