It needed to happen eventually

This is the exact same model and colour of the sofa I put a deposit on today. Plus, I purchased a matching reclining chair and a GE (General Electric) dishwasher for the kitchen.

I already have a furnished loft where I live, but as the Boss is in hospital and will soon be in residence, I need to, for the sake of visitors, as in friends, work meetings, bible study (potentially) have a furnished living room. This is where the Boss used to receive home care.

I am fine washing and drying dishes by hand, but as the original dishwasher, when we moved in, is broken, I cannot reasonably just leave a 'hole', so therefore I bought a new GE.

Before full payment and delivery, I first need to pay for new flooring, for every room upstairs and downstairs, minus the sunroom.

Hitting the restaurant scene like Mr. L for a couple of nights...

Izba Bistro, Port Coquitlam, December 14.
Two nights in a row, my poor stomach takes a beating with delicious food. (Again, despite my kingpin frame, I have always been a small eater, low calorie person that exercises regularly).

This steak dish was very good.

I recommend Izba Bistro. I believe it was my first attempt at Polish-Canadian cuisine.
Stock photo of Deutsches Haus meal we ordered...

The previous night at Deutsches Haus (Vancouver Alpen Club), I believe it was my first attempt at German cuisine.

Also recommended, this establishment serves meat after meat after meat, that you had better eat....

I took some of it home and it was still excellent with mustard. This meal was courtesy my kind employer.

Although I cannot technically remember previously ever eating at German or Polish-Canadian cuisine, restaurants, my memory does not go back to earliest childhood.

Germanic cuisine was represented from my parents in my childhood, lunch and dinner cuisine.

I am full...

A group of us are back at Izba Bistro on the 21st.

The Shaw of I ran faster

Very kind free offer from Shaw today. Accepted of course.

Some background...

As I was a long time student, the Shaw account was previously in the name of the Boss, now being placed in residence. I am not certain if internet speed and service was ever upgraded, but the digital television quality was never upgraded. So, when Telus offered me an upgrade, I switched and the digital picture was obviously far superior. This made a difference watching the (UEFA) football.

But, Telus scored too many own goals and did not keep promises kept to offer movie channels for my then at home Boss. They provided the movie channels and then took them away. When I complained, they stated, they could add the channels, for a price.

Bad move!

Goodbye Telus, back to Shaw.

Shaw promised to reinstate my Shaw email addresses, but never did. Therefore, as I waited long enough, I now have switched to four Gmail addresses. This is better for international service anyhow.

Shaw kept sending my bills to one of the defunct and now fictional, Shaw email addresses that they never bothered to fix and then canceled my service when I did not reply via a fictional email address. I then complained and they reinstated my service.

But, they then began to state again that I was not paying for my service.

When I paid Shaw at my online bank, I chose the name of Shaw and paid. The only Shaw I could see, folks! However, facing a second cancellation of service warning, I researched and found out, that account information for Shaw, with their help, on my online banking was the old defunct account in the Boss's name.

As with the email addresses, no one at Shaw showed any initiative and did any research to assist me, their customer. Until I complained...

I complained by Gmail (!) and stated that the service was 'horrible'. To their credit, Shaw finally transferred the $1000 plus credit in payments from the old account of the Boss, to the account in my name. I had to drive to their store in Abbotsford!

So, today, I receive this faster upgrade.

Well, please enjoy the use of my $1000 plus in credit...Shaw.

I am actually thankful to God, this is fixed! Strangely enough, I am relieved I have a credit with them...
