Friday afternoon and my friend 'Chucky' texted me at work and asked me if I was attending the Genesis discussion at church, that evening. I said yes, and we carpooled...  

Teaching from Genesis 

It is good to be a member of a church with these types of serious, intellectual, biblical, discussions.

The hope for the regenerate (John 3, Titus 3, 1 Peter 1) is not primarily in politics or the world system, but in Jesus Christ and the culminated Kingdom of God. Christians should be politically aware, but trusting in God and the Kingdom of God. Pray for holiness...

Regeneration precedes faith

'Being born again is something you don't do.' Bruce Gore, 22 minute mark forward. Gore begins a series on 1 Peter and notes that regeneration in Christ (1 Peter 1) (also John 3, Titus 3, my add) is a gift from God for belief. Gore also discusses predestination, justification and sanctification. At the end questions, Gore compares the biblical Kingdom of God versus Christendom, which is political.
