My Dad (star tenant) that lives downstairs, told me he heard an alarm go off and smelled some smoke. I may have smelled smoke, not sure. He said that earlier in the day he had seen new owners move into the condo complex, and that they were cutting firewood and brought the firewood inside to their unit.
All the units have gas fireplaces, the venting system will not work for burning firewood that requires the right type of chimney.
I always thought that permanent (ontologically, virtually immortal) artificial log in our gas fireplace made wood logs unnecessary. But, I am no fireplace expert.
Local friends: If I ever need to stay at your place for a night. You will know why I am temporarily homeless.
• When some people mention my recent weight loss, it is much appreciated.
• When I mention I exercise, I deduce some people assume fitness is a new thing for me.
• No, I have been working out since I was four years old, as my older brother would take me to Cedar Drive Elementary in Port Coquitlam to play ball hockey with the older boys.
• The photo is one of my newer workout tools.
• Carbon fibre knuckles (Punisher), which are I have read, five times stronger than the infamous brass knuckles.
• I bought these carbon fibre knuckles, legally at the Silverdale, Mission, Shell Station.
• Yes, a gas station...that sells a lot of goodies, besides cheaper gas.
• This tool is used up in my loft only, as part of my martial arts, and martial arts weapons workout.
• I use the Punisher in conjunction with knife defence techniques.
• I have added the weapons aspect to my martial arts training since 2001.
• Video 1: Please pardon the bit of sexual crudeness, contrary to a Christian worldview, the video does not need it.
• The video is from a secular, evolutionary, perspective, but in general, the video reasonably explains why there are many single men in the western world, at present.
• It also reasonably explains that much male depression in the western world, connects to this issue.
• Video 2: I agree with the comments in that (paraphrased) a man should live in his own life as opposed to chasing women.
• But based on the views presented in video 1, being a successful man is no guarantee of a future romantic relationship.
• It is social success which is key, not necessarily all types of success.
• In my humble opinion, there is no sure way to have a woman, or women, chase you as a man.
• A biblical Christian perspective, I hold to, is to seek a wife (1 Corinthians 7) to avoid lust.
• 1 Corinthians 7: 8-9, New American Standard Bible (NASB) 8 But I say to the unmarried and to widows that it is good for them if they remain even as I. 9 But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.\
• But more importantly, is the issue of being equally connected with believers (2 Corinthians 6) .
• Theologically, I would state that biblical marriage should have mutual, spiritual, intellectual and physical attraction within God's perfect will.
• 2 Corinthians 6: 14-15 New American Standard Bible (NASB)14 Do not be [g]mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness? 15 Or what harmony does Christ have with [h]Belial, or [i]what does a believer share with an unbeliever? 16 Or what agreement does [j]the temple of God have with idols? For we are [k]the temple of the living God; just as God said,
• g 2 Corinthians 6:14 Lit unevenly yoked
• h 2 Corinthians 6:15 Gr Beliar; a name of the devil and the antichrist
• i 2 Corinthians 6:15 Lit what part has a believer with an unbeliever
• Philosophically and theologically, stating all you need is Jesus, is not the same as stating, all that you need is in Jesus Christ.
• If all you need is God/Jesus works as advice for people with a desire unfulfilled, a need unsatisfied, why does it not suffice for the people that have a desire fulfilled and need satisficed?

• Do not return evil for evil...
• 1 Peter 3: 9 English Standard Version (ESV) Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.
• Romans 12: 17 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Never repay evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all people.
• Galatians 5: 14 King James Bible (KJV) For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
• This secondary to loving the biblical God, primarily (Matthew 22, Mark 12, Luke 10).
• Image three, Facebook: I do think that many in western society equate being too fat with not being thin enough.
• With not being 'fit'.
• Not always necessarily the same thing...
• Image four, Facebook: Those two German Shepherds, look like they would love for Mr. Charles Nelson Chuckles to attempt one of his deliveries at their estate.
• Granted the You Tube video is not from a biblical worldview.
• It is from a secular, evolutionary worldview (naturalism, my add).
• I do agree with creator's comments that generally, dating is not a good idea for men.
• If a woman is uncertain about me, as a potential romantic partner, why place her under psychological stress to make a decision on me, by asking her on a date?
• I think pretty much all of the creator's non-date options could be perceived as dating or attempts at dating.
• I favour biblical courtship.
• In other words, involving the church and family.
• However, true, good, godly relationships, of any kind, are organic and not forced, coerced or connived.
• I prayerfully, attempt to be Christlike and friendly, and ask God to guide me to like-minded people where there are possibilities for friendship and in rare cases, mutual, spiritual, intellectual and romantic attraction.
• I am very strong on manly traits, although introverted and philosophical.
• Only few intellectual type, women, fit the mold to understand me for a potential romantic relationship.
