It was a typical day’s work at the hospital for Hinn, which includes healing hundreds of patients with a mere touch or a softly spoken word, song, or prayer. He refuses all gifts, donations, and “love offerings,” of course, and gently turns down all photo op attempts and autograph requests. Passing by him, you wouldn’t even know he was any different from the rest of the hospital staff, as he typically dons scrubs, booties, and a surgical cap in order to blend in and avoid attracting any unwanted attention.'

Benny Hinn: Fantasy World Satire & Healing Hospitalized Children
I have stated previously that this is not a fantasy site, but I will make an exception for this post.
Opine
According to the Bible, God healed certain people, and as an eternal, almighty being he would have that same ability today.
Perhaps God has other sovereign purposes in the suffering of an individual apart from the ideas of certain faith healers for miraculous healing.
In both the Hebrew Bible and New Testament, healing and the supernatural did take place. I am not completely sceptical of supposed post New Testament era supernatural events. I myself have witnessed the power of the supernatural by seeing an exorcism of a person I know. This person was not hypnotized and/or told he/she was a demon, rather evil agents were called out in the name of Jesus Christ as eternal God, within the trinity and perfect man.
Personal experience is not my primary reason for being a Christian, rather I trust in God's guidance, and documented, historical, religious, revelation, and I accept that God is hyper-rational, not illogical, and able to make truth known.
Even in the case fraudulent ministry, those that are nominally Biblical Christian, still preach some type of gospel message. Philippians mentions in 1:17-19 that some preach Christ out of selfish ambition, and not from pure motives, but the writer, Paul, rejoices that Christ is still being proclaimed. This should not be taken in any way as meaning I support any ministry that is not significantly Biblical and theologically sound. Bonus points if the ministry also has some significant knowledge of philosophy of religion.
Jesus and the Apostles did not attempt to perform phony healings for selected people, but from Scriptural evidence were empowered by God. I believe that God can empower someone to perform a healing.
But so often I think certain people want to make supernatural things happen and for this reason I think scepticism is healthy in regard to healing and miracles.
If supernatural healings were the case with a legitimate Biblical, Christian ministry, would not hospitalized children be one of the primary places to work and minister? If a faith healer indeed has such a healing gift, even some of the time, I would hope he/she would be famous for healing in hospitals and the streets rather than with a television and auditorium/stadium ministry. This has been rightly stated by many!
After all, faith in the Biblical God is to be child-like. (Matthew 18, Mark 10, Luke 18).
