Trumpled?

Resolute Farm: I have no horse in this race

I am Canadian, I have no horse in this US Presidential race. I did a test weeks ago, based on policy, on who I should vote for in 2016, I came up largely supporting Libertarian policies, a little Republican and not much Democrat.

If Trump wins, or loses in a close race, it is a sign to me that millions of Americans are fed up with the liberal elite politicians from both major parties that run the federal government.

Very non-exhaustively:

Basically, I would not vote for Clinton, because she represents the more worldly, populist, in a negative sense, party. Liberal-democrats typically winning the popularity contest in the western world, as opposed to certainly winning the truth contest. I will grant that liberal-democrats at times may do more socially for the public than do conservatives. I support 'the people' in that sense.

Basically, I would not vote for Trump, because of he is rather unpolitical in character, his negative statements on women and others that are not like him. Unless society drastically changes, I do not see the western political system significantly changing. So, for those conservatives that think Trump, if elected, is going to be a key for the change of politics and the law on certain key ethical and moral issues such as abortion on demand:

I seriously, doubt it.

The League of Nations?

'According To Science, There’s No Such Thing As Dating ‘Out Of Your League’'

By Leigh Weingus

I came across a few fairly recent articles in regards to these findings. These scientific findings appear to have merit and are in basic agreement with some of my own documented philosophical views.

'Got a crush? That so-called “friend zone“ may not be such a bad thing, according to new research. A study on attraction conducted by researchers at the University of Texas at Austin and Northwestern University found that the longer you know someone, the more of a chance you have with them — even if they’re more attractive than you.

The study took a look at “assortative mating“ — a term used to describe the tendency for people to date and marry others who have a similar characteristic or set of characteristics — by asking 167 couples how long they had known each other before beginning to date and whether or not they had been friends before they started dating. They also looked at independently assigned ratings of each individual’s physical attractiveness.

They found that the longer a couple had known each other before dating, the more likely there was to be an attractiveness discrepancy. “If you happen to be shooting for someone ‘out of your league’ (in terms of attractiveness, at least), you may be more likely to succeed if you get to know the person for a while rather than going for it immediately,” said lead author Lucy L. Hunt of UT’s Department of Human Development and Family Sciences. “However, it’s still a gamble: Getting to know someone over time can either improve that person’s impression of you or worsen it.”

Philosophy twist

If the typical Western 'league of nations' view is really consistently followed, turning this thinking from primarily physical attractiveness to other with philosophy:

If you do not have a Doctorate from a major university in a complex discipline (s). You are out of my league. I, therefore should date a virtual female version of self, hopefully significantly and substantially more feminine looking. For the numerous women that continue to contact me online (and in person), please send me a scan of your PhD degree for my consideration. I may require to read your doctoral thesis. Debating your thesis may then be a further requirement, as you will need to prove to me that you are significantly Reformed in doctrine. Those that hold to incompatibilism, disqualified for further consideration.

And biblical concepts of primarily seeking relationships with people of godly, Christ-like character where there is implied mutual attraction (1 Corinthians 7, 2 Corinthians 6)?

Another False Prophecy

'Second Coming Of Christ Scheduled For Game 7 Of Cubs-Indians World Series'

'HEAVEN—In a stunning leak Monday, sources in heaven claimed to have “reliable information” that the triumphant return of Jesus Christ will occur during the deciding Game 7 of the World Series between the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago Cubs.'

'Cleveland fans have waited since 1948 to see a baseball championship, and Cubs fans have not witnessed a World Series title since 1908. It appears both fan bases will have to continue waiting.'

'“When the 9th inning starts, look for a circle of clouds to gather over Lake Erie, and get ready for some fireworks,” he added.'

Well, there was a rain delay, heading into the tenth inning. But yet another false prophecy, see Mathew 23-24.

I am a not baseball fan per say, but I watched game 7 and much of the series. I usually view some baseball playoffs, every year. It was good to see the Chicago Cubs win the World Series. This is a story of hope for those entities that finally achieve long-awaited goals. The Cubs were called lovable losers, but the Cubs were the biggest club in their market (more valuable than the White Sox, according to Forbes), in the third largest metropolitan area in the United States, for many years. The reason they likely have not won more World Series championships is management, until recently.

This historical episode makes me think of the Toronto Maple Leafs for some reason.

No Original Six: The Original Two

Educational American video on National Hockey League history:

In reality there is the original two from 1917-1918:

Montreal Canadiens
Toronto Hockey Club (Now Maple Leafs)

Toronto

I think the video is too indecisive in regard to Toronto. According to the National Hockey and almost all documentation, the Toronto club changed name, but it is traced back to season one. Example: All 13 Toronto, Stanley Cups are documented to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Years ago I occasionally saw them credited with 11, but now it is universally 13. The League has the right to make this decision as the awarding entity.
From 2014: The Globe and Mail: Los Angeles now has 2, Chicago 6, Pittsburgh 4

Notice, no Vancouver, Ottawa and Winnipeg...
