Problematic differences?

My attempt at reason and objectivity in Christ.

In this realm, biblically, God made males to typically and generally be able to safely procreate throughout their lives. This is so with limited negatives associated with ageing and reproduction. Unlike females, menopause is not a certain scientific fact. (Menopause 516)(Ovulation 591). Men too advanced in age to father a family in various contexts, disqualified.

Reasonably and within common sense, then at least some younger women of childbearing age, may be potentially attracted to older men in a romantic context. This made more apparent in non-Western contexts, such as Eastern European, Asian and Latin American where it is more socially acceptable.

Within the context of potential mutual spiritual, intellectual and romantic attraction; from a Christian, biblical perspective, potentially uncomfortable premises need to be reconsidered in prayer, as an aspect of seeking God's perfect will. This opposed to assumed premises which therefore, may risk being sanctioned only within God's permissible will.

This in the context of males considering women closer to their own biological age. This in the context of younger women considering significantly older men. Besides, there are numerous other considerations within spiritual, intellectual; and romantic attraction other than simply age and yet the secular article I quoted begins with the age issue of course...

Philosophically, significant age difference being defined out of romantic possibility, in every situation, reminds me of how in much of the secular Western world, theism and God is defined out of possibility.

Neither approach serves either the truth or love.

My friend Ed's funeral/memorial was this morning at a seniors complex. Ed was 91 years old this year and a Christian for decades. See my Facebook page profile photo, Russell Norman Murray @drrnm.

After the service, I walked outside with a former pastor of mine and he stated (paraphrased) that in many of these seniors complexes now, two consenting adults can do what they wish (sexually implied) behind closed doors.

He then stated:

And that is good.

Although he added that there are spiritual and moral considerations from a Christian perspective (sexual sin implied).

I agreed and stated (also paraphrased) that this was their democratic legal right living in Canada.

As Christians living in democratic Canada and the democratic West, we should support:

a) The democratic rights of people to live within the laws of the land.

b) The promotion of the gospel and related.

Now, b) is far more important than a) because although both a) and b) have temporal significance:

Only b) has everlasting significance.

There will be democracy in the Kingdom of God, but upon a shared worldview in Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 2:12 and 1 Corinthians 6: 3, as examples); it will be a new realm (Revelation 21-22, 2 Peter 3).

Therefore the Church needs to prioritize b) in daily Christian living.

I do not want to be misunderstood, I reason the Church should be politically active when required. I have written Canadian politicians on certain issues.

Further, it should be remembered that within this present sinful realm (pre-Revelation 21-22) that the guarantee of freedom of religion and related, within he laws of the land, is connected to the rights of those outside the Christian Church to have freedom without religion and related. This is still preferable, in this present realm, to a government forcing a worldview, religious or non-religious upon its citizens and residents.

In this context, it is not the priority of the Christian Church 'to rid the world of evil...'

The extended Facebook search 'See all results for (letter)' application has morally decayed the last few months. This renders the application even more socially useless than Google+.

The regular search of, for example, the letter 'R', yields the usual 'as the self-obsessed' Russ Murray and Russell Norman Murray are on top.

The next six or so people are usually Facebook friends and spies for the CIA (Christian Intelligence Agency).

If I click on 'See all results for 'R', which I view as extended search, I am not always the first profile listed and there is the combination of friends and spies. After the first few profiles; this is where the ethical decay occurs and I am barraged with balloons and mountains.

If I wanted to see balloons, I would throw a party, hire a clown or have a water fight.

If I wanted to see mountains, I would simply go outside, this is British Columbia.

These profiles are a sign of the sarcasm and lack of sincerity that often takes place online.

These are the Facebook phonies (not a reference to any local friend).

I have also lately been receiving more friend requests from some type of professionals that are younger women that upon a little research, for some reason, like to collect mainly male friends that are seemingly biologically older.

I had one of these professionals from Google+ actually try to call me on my mobile. I ignored.

These 'connections' do not last long...

I now pay little attention to my main Facebook page, Russ Murray and focus on Russell Norman Murray @drrnm.
