Golf Digest: Executive branches? |
I am just back from a church meeting and shopping. My initial reaction to this cover was surprise. Does Golf Digest risk publishing a bust?
I have to admit, I do not usually pay much attention to American politics or any politics, but there is just so much in the satirical possibilities department, that I keep coming back for the train wreck from the left and the right.
As stated, I have no 'horse in the race' in regard to United States politics. Many of my friends and family dislike President Trump, and some like President Trump.
I take a rather theological and philosophical position that having watched 'The Apprentice', character wise, he would not be my preference for a political leader. I Thessalonians 4:11 notes that a person should 'make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands' (NASB) and therefore not pursue celebrity.
However, business wise, he may do some good things for the American economy. One can accuse me of fence sitting, and I can reason myself as using common sense and questioning those that are too dogmatically political.
I also view political answers as often significantly limited in our present Western society that seriously needs spiritual revision via the biblical gospel.
