The 2016 World Cup of Hockey is taking place presently in Toronto. Canada has not won the Stanley Cup on the club team level since 1993. However, international hockey favours Canada more. The Canada Cup evolved indirectly into the World Cup. Some document them as the same tournament.
Comment from new co-worker today, re: website consulting. 'Yea, what is up with Google+?' Me: Not much.

I have been hesitant about joining Twitter, over the years, but will learn it on my own account, for the sake of the ministry I work with, in case they decide to use that social media. I will admit, the initial response is pretty good.
Purchased Sunday:1969 & the return of Herbert von Karajan match music.
Fifteen minute matches
Double header as teammates
September 18, 2016
UEFA Champions League 99-00
Glasgow Rangers 8 v Lazio 9
Actua Soccer 3
Lazio 3 v The Lords of London 6
We win both games, but it is tight, and we sort of goofed off in the first game with the 'keeper' goal attempts...
Comments
Uncle Chuck mentioned an accordion sound on the UEFA game; yes it is a background sound on the UEFA game.
We have not played teammates in years. There will possibly be more matches in the future. Both games are far more difficult to play in regard to gameplay and controller gamepad when multiple players are involved. It becomes more difficult to check opponents and control the controller.
'Bent' from the second match, on Actua Soccer 3, has now been replaced on the custom team. His play was way 'Bent' out of shape and he even looked physically awkward out there.
Chuck did fine, although he did slide tackle me for one of the goals against...
Dvorák: Cello Concerto / Tchaikovsky: Rokoko Variationen
Antonin Dvorak (Composer), Pyotr Il'yich Tchaikovsky (Composer), Herbert von Karajan (Conductor), & 2 more Format: Audio CD
1969
Quote:
'This is a tough one to call. Admittedly, the sound quality of Erato's recording of Rostropovich performing the Dvorak Cello Concerto and the Tchaikovsky Rocco Variations is still better than Deutsche Grammophon's digital image bit remastered version with Rostropovich accompanied by Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic'

'This is a beautiful recording, but I cannot listen to it on my stereo unless I constantly adjust the volume, up for the cello, down for the full orchestra. If I leave the volume at a level where the full orchestra will not be too loud, then I miss everything that makes this recording really special. But if I leave the volume where I can hear the cello clearly, then the full orchestra is painfully loud. Just be aware, if you are not an audiophile, this CD may not be right for you.'

'I found this CD to be an absolute delight! From opening to closing measure of both the Dvorak cello concerto and the Tchaikovsky Rococo Variations, cellist Mstislav Rostropovich and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Herbert von Karajan, team up to establish a splendid musical dialog. The cello concerto, one of Dvorak's greatest masterpieces, is at the same time warm, passionate and lyrical.'---
With most of my classic recordings there are volume changes. These are usually live recordings and are not necessarily corrected with studio edits which will be found with rock and jazz productions. I expect volume variation, more so than with live rock or jazz because of the the larger and more diverse classical orchestra, instrument wise.
I have now two Karajan conducted albums and I enjoy the depth of the orchestration, for one.
'Ian Bremner was looking for red deer in the Highlands when he noticed three humps emerging from the waters of Loch Ness'
Cited
'The picture shows a two-metre long silver creature swimming away from the lens with its head bobbing away and a tail flapping a metre away, preparing to swim further on.
The apparent creature was spotted coming up for air close to the banks of the loch on Saturday afternoon midway between the villages of Dores and Inverfarigaig.'
If the Loch Ness creature does exist, it will need to be empirically viewed in its fullness as reasonable proof. Otherwise there is room for healthy skepticism, of course.
'We are ‘almost definitely’ living in a Matrix-style simulation, claims Elon Musk'
Cited
'Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and founder of Space X, Tesla and Paypal, has told an interviewer there is only a “one in billions” chance that we’re not living in a computer simulation.'
Cited
'He also claimed that, if we’re not living in a simulation, we could be approaching the end of the world.'
Any philosophical proofs as cumulative evidences? Documented historical evidence?

“If you assume any rate of improvement at all, then the games will become indistinguishable from reality, even if that rate of advancement drops by a thousand from what it is now. Then you just say, okay, let's imagine it's 10,000 years in the future, which is nothing on the evolutionary scale.

'“So given that we're clearly on a trajectory to have games that are indistinguishable from reality, and those games could be played on any set-top box or on a PC or whatever, and there would probably be billions of such computers or set-top boxes, it would seem to follow that the odds that we're in base reality is one in billions.'
That does not follow. Simply, technology is increasing and therefore, computer games should become more realistic in simulation over time. This does not in itself, deny reality for simulation.
'KANSAS CITY, Kan., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- A man accused of robbing a Kansas bank and immediately surrendering to a security guard told investigators he preferred jail to life with his wife, the FBI said.
Lawrence John Ripple, 70, allegedly walked into the Bank of Labor in Kansas City on Sept. 2 and handed a teller a note reading, "I have a gun, give me money."
Cited:
Ripple's wife said he had become angry when she reminded him that the clothes dryer needed to be repaired.
Ripple, who was charged with robbery and aggravated robbery, might have to wait to get his wish for jail over home life; he was released on bond Wednesday.
The need for a psychiatric evaluation comes to mind...and several satirical jokes.
Relatively unknown classic British 1998 soccer game. I demonstrate some of the other functions. I also discuss philosophy as in ethics in regard to playing computer games. I do a 'sermon' on preference and divine right. Ten minute match.

August 29 Delta Farce of Chucky: Delta Force (1998) Review
As I stated, my favourite aspect of the game is the topographical graphics. It was a short, very successful, but imperfect mission, successfully completed by Dr. Rusty.
September 3-4
Apologies: The orchestra from iTunes was too loud. It sounded fine in earlier videos, but became too loud, causing our voices to distort. A difficulty with live production.
Delta Farce of Chucky: Keyboard malfunctions A short debacle.

Chucky shuts the computer off accidentally twice with more keyboard malfunctions, including very violently, just after the 15 minute mark. It was so violent, the MCC may be alerted.

Comments on listening to the former or not, Nazi conductor. The source of our orchestra music.
''Karajan joined the Nazi Party in Salzburg on 8 April 1933; his membership number was 1,607,525. In June 1933, the Nazi Party was outlawed by the Austrian government. However, Karajan's membership was valid until 1939. In that year the former Austrian members were verified by the general office of the Nazi Party. Karajan's membership was declared invalid but his accession to the party was retroactively determined to have been on 1 May 1933 in Ulm, with membership number: 3,430,914.[22][23][24]'
'Karajan read the works of Father Hugo Enomiya-Lassalle on Zen Buddhism. He became a practitioner of Zen Buddhism. He believed strongly in reincarnation and said that he would like to be reborn as an eagle so he could soar over his beloved Alps.[1] However, on 29 June 1985, he conducted Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Coronation Mass during a Mass celebrated by St. John Paul II in St. Peter's Basilica, on the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, and received Holy Communion from the hand of the Pope with his wife and daughters.[34]'
'However, the very thing that threatened his career in the Third Reich was to salvage it after the war was over. After the war, the Soviets issued a prohibition on the conductor’s public performances – his voluntary entrance into the Nazi party several years before the war began was enough to condemn him. By 1947, though, all bans had been lifted, and he was free to perform and conduct at will. The clearing of his name was largely thanks to his part-Jewish wife, whose Jewishness he exploited in order to plead ‘resistance’ to the Reich. Some historians believe that he deliberately lied in order to ensure his denazification. In any case, his career continued on its astronomical trajectory toward fame and fortune.'
We cannot all be pretty like my friends Bobby Buff and Cousin Buff. I workout and I develop a twelve pack.
We cannot all have a reasonable chance of winning the Mr. Universe Pageant.
Warning
This is secular humour, so not Christian fundamentalist friendly. However, the video raises true philosophical propositions in regard to genetics and body shape. Ironically, I, at least, thought the one rather braggadocios gentleman was a bit cross-eyed. Personally, I would edit out his comments.
I hope this new Blogger, Dynamic view template is an improvement. It is set to Magazine view on both my websites, but Classic view is an option. Search is far better with this template as I can find archived articles easily on my websites for the first time in years. I was having to Google search or sign in to the Blogger Dashboard to see my older articles.
