Trusted might not be too trustworthy

I do quite a bit of work on my computer and online. The two previous USB hubs I have owned were plastic and seemed to overheat. This new one is aluminum, which might work better and last longer. Last night, my computer keyboards began malfunctioning. I eventually determined that one of the USB ports was dead. I have three USB ports on my laptop, but I need at least four-five more  ports on a hub, at this point.

I went to the local London Drugs today. The representative suggested a hub system about the same price as the one I purchased, but it only had three two ports in total, not enough. I therefore, bought their own London Drugs 'trusted' brand, hub, which has  seven ports, plus two connections for power. I now have three extra ports.

The representative said to keep the box, because (paraphrased) 'trusted' might not be too trustworthy.

I live in the wilds of Maple Ridge, if someone lives closer to a larger city, closer to Vancouver or Abbotsford, and can suggest a better option, for a USB hub, if this one fails me soon, please feel free to comment or email me at
