Seven hot dogs each=Sodium overdose

Northview Community Church: Barbecue

Northview Community Church: Barbecue

A very successful opening day for the Northview Community Church and partners (Northview owns the building and property), church plant. My good friend John Wee joined me for opening day and the opening day barbecue. Hot dogs were the food. It was hot and John Wee ate four hot dogs and I ate three hot dogs.

I drive us from the Port Coquitlam barbecue to the bigger Abbotsford campus and barbecue, which also served hot dogs as the food. These hot dogs were better, in our opinion, and in the heat and all the walking on this large campus, I had another four hot dogs and John Wee had another three hot dogs. He complained that he did not get the extra one I did!

My diet is fruits, vegetables, fish, spaghetti with spinach, rice and peas. I only have beef and pork on social events outside of my home. And I have never been a large eater.

A funny thing is that John is on some bizarre diet and this was his 'cheat day'.

I have never consumed that many hot dogs in a day, and I do not feel stuffed full, but I am not hungry.

I feel like I have had a sodium overdose and will spend the rest of this evening drinking water. But, the hot dogs were good, as were the chats with the many friends I introduced John to.

Chucky could not believe that John Wee and I had consumed seven hot dogs each, but it was over three meals. This meeting was at Dairy Queen...
