Pastor claims he went to hell & killed Satan

'Pastor MBORO has claimed on his Facebook page that he went to hell and killed satan.

On a post that was later deleted when people started asking questions, the pastor claims God sent him to hell to get rid of world’s number one enemy.

He wrote “when I got to hell there was a queue of millions of people waiting to be braai’d by Satan. I even saw some prominent South African politicians. I was so shocked because they lived like angels here on earth. I thought they went to heaven. When Satan saw me he panicked and directed his army to kill me. Like Samson in the Bible, I defeated them. Satan was my last victim”'

Same story linked above:

What does the Scripture state is the end of Satan and satanic beings:

Revelation 20

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain [a]in his hand. 2 And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time. 4 Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of [b]their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.

7 When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, 8 and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the [c]seashore. 9 And they came up on the [d]broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the [e]saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and [f]brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose [g]presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and [h]books were opened; and another [i]book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the [j]books, according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if [k]anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Scholars can debate in regard to the degrees of literalness from this particularly, eschatological, apocalyptic literature. Mounce writes that there is 'an indefensible literalism or a highly imaginative subjectivism. I have attempted to steer a middle course because that is the way I believe the ancient text fell upon the ears of the seven first-century churches in Asia to whom it was written.' (12).

Accepting this reasonable scholarship; Revelation as text is sufficiently literal throughout, that Satan's fate within the lake of fire is predetermined by God. It can be theologically reasoned that Satan is not going to be killed in the meantime by anyone!

This pastor needs to resign from 'ministry' and work on his improving his poor fiction writing skills.

Bullet Wednesday: So then who are the fascists?

BBC News June 28 2017 Chucky posted this link on Facebook.

•Since switching cable from Shaw to Telus, I now can watch Fox News, besides CNN, BBC and other. Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox, provides the narrative that there is a radical, fascist left today in the United States and the United Kingdom. This radical left is in particular within some American colleges and Universities, which are stated to have intolerant millennial students being influenced by leftist professors. There are some examples documented and shown by Fox News that do demonstrate a lack of intellectual toleration on campus.

•I of course went through this losing my PhD appointment at the University of Manchester and then moving to the University of Wales, for MPhil and PhD degrees. I faced academic bias that could be considered from a liberal, secular view.

•I have British friends, in person and on Facebook that opine at times that President Donald Trump and the Republicans have fascist leanings.

•Who are fascists? According to British philosopher, Blackburn: Fascism entails; nationalism, hostility to ideals of equality, hatred of minorities, degenerates and deviants, elitism, hostility toward the ideas of liberalism, and opposition to the freedom of expression, the cult of the charismatic leader, the destiny of race, political symbolism, the need for energy and struggle, the need for human action as influence. (136).

•The radical left wing academics may be intolerant at times, but are not generally nationalistic, they do support aspects of equality and are not generally against minorities, degenerates and deviants. They also support certain ideas of liberalism. President Donald Trump and the Republicans, certainly support many aspects of freedom and have criticized the elites. Seems to me, neither group is classically fascist, therefore, if either or both groups have neo-fascist aspects that would have to be debated.

•As I have mentioned both in offline and online in regard to politics, there is a radical left and radical right and any Christians in either group, should repent and seek a more gospel focused approach to life and politics.

•'Krazy' day for me. RMH called me to let me know they were ready to ask the Red Cross to move in Mother's new supplies for the return of the Boss. But not into her bedroom as was expected, no, in the living room/den. Well, I had not been told for certain it would be the living room/den. I was expecting her bedroom to be changed. I will have to have a friend assist me move her bed out, because she needs a hospital bed, and a new lift. But with the move taking place in the living room/den, a hospital bed will eliminate the room socially for watching television other than for Mother. The sofa needs to be moved out, into her bedroom.

•My loft therefore becomes the new den, where I can invite friends over and watch television. The loft is our social area, but in the past, if we watched television, it would be downstairs. Thankfully, by God's grace, I had a notion I needed to have an upstairs television as an option, so when I switched my cable provider to Telus, I had Telus set up the loft set up for television. I just had to purchase a new television, which I did today. When I was installing the television stand, the guide on the television broke and fell inside the television. I took it back to the dealer and the salesperson assisted with the completion and stated it was no problem.

•The Telus technician and myself, had created quite a 'nest' of chords. I had to move furniture to correct, today. This photo below shows a nest half the size that existed. This is just the chords that no longer belong.

•Chucky stated the other day while looking at the Facebook mobile, 'Search' application, that when he types in a letter of the alphabet, the 'sl***' and 'wh****' have been cleaned up. I stated, I agreed, and it had taken a couple of years. By the way, I told Chuckins about the application, in the first place.

•Facebook cleaning out the trash leaves more room for my high quality female stalkers to reappear on the application.

•I receive Facebook messages from women daily. I am not interested in playing, the 'Where do you live?', 'How old are you?', 'Are you married?', boring game. Not investigating where I live shows intellectual laziness and that the young woman probably noted that I have a PhD and thinks that the sinful and classic potential sex for potential $$$ ploy might entice me. No thanks! I need someone that I could discuss Reformed theology with and philosophy of religion. I think that would be God's will for me, if someone was a right person. A problem is limiting such a rare person, today, to within 5 years of age of me is philosophically absurd!

•According to the Dalrock blog, (paraphrased) Christian, young women, due to feministic influences, such as career and a market value dating theory, will in their early 20's reject numerous men, that were possibly or potentially good husbands. Market value dating gives young women the highest market value and therefore, a young woman is informed by western society that she should be choosy and play the field and pick someone suitable at a later age rather than in her early twenties. Perhaps in her early to mid 30's.

•From my Reformed theological perspective this is highly problematic. This approach assumes there is no reasonable way that God would will that a Christian young woman could meet a good potential husband, perhaps the best one, at an early age where she is more immature. This approach omits the concept that God could use an evolving relationship to mature the young woman in order that she would be ready for marriage, when initially she felt this was not reasonable. Therefore, the young woman is left with following a heavily, secular influenced system and placing God in a relationship, marriage box that God would not put the man into her life, until she is ready, assuming that is not in her early twenties. It assumes that by the Holy Spirit a very young woman would not be evolved into a ready person at early adulthood. Yet this certainly occurred in earlier eras...

•Market value dating is unbiblical because it is more concerned with the desires of finite, sinful persons (universal humanity, Romans, Galatians) that supposedly deserve someone of equal social and physical value. This opposed to pursuing someone in Christ, of the opposite sex, that is not aged and can partake in producing a family. It is not concerned with a biblical standard of mutual spiritual, intellectual and romantic attraction in Jesus Christ.

Nothing to be proud about, I suppose

Shiny new fallacy strikes again

Fine art America: Twitter

During a meeting today, a very intellectual friend with a secular Master's degree, really philosophically appreciated a recent definition I provided with my fallacies' review on my other Blogger website.

Shiny new fallacy June 21

Also known as

Novitam, argumentum ad

Appeal to Novelty

My friend opined that the 'shiny new fallacy' is used by some modern Christians that reason that he/she can define the bible and biblical theology in a superior way than did the biblical authors.

A mistake being that humanity is still sinful and that in contrast, the biblical writers were inspired by the Holy Spirit, within the Trinity, to write inerrant scripture.

Chuck had nothing to with it, fool! (Mobile audio/video)

Earlier this year, in a Windows 10 update, Microsoft deleted their own software for my Microsoft Lifecam HD 3000 webcam, from my laptop's hard drive. No replacement software was sent to me. The webcam now relegated to social media websites with webcam software. Thanks, Microsoft. Overall, Microsoft with an operating system, is helpful, but not in this case.

Gerber: Not what I bought today.

Gerber:  An American knife from Gerber in Portland, Oregon, made in China. This is my first fixed blade knife for working out with martial arts. I bought this legal knife at Army and Navy. I checked out Wesley Military Surplus previously and the kind assistant offered me throwing knives. Umm, where would I practice?

'Ronaldo has recently become involved in tax fraud controversy, with allegations that he defrauded the Spanish government of approximately £12.8 million. The issue reportedly centres on failing to disclose income obtained from image rights he earned from 2011 to 2014.

According to a report from Portuguese soccer outlet A Bola, Ronaldo feels he is being unfairly targeted by the Spanish government. This has led him to reconsider playing in Spain. TSN's Kristian Jack said that sources very close to Ronaldo seem to be indicating that these rumours are true.'

Bullet Thursday: Fox

Angryharry.com

•It is 'kool' when I hear commentators state concepts I have discussed previously.

•Finally having Fox News in my cable package, I now watch 'The Five' on Fox News, which is news meets entertainment meets humour. I still view CNN.

•As a moderate conservative, I actually often agree with the moderate liberal, Juan Williams, who also takes Christian perspectives.

•However, tonight, I appreciate Greg Gutfield's comments (paraphrased) that often today in society, discourse does not take place between the left and the right, because one side does not want to risk that the other side is sometimes correct. I agree, and have agreed in documented form.

•From a Reformed, theological perspective (Genesis, Romans, Galatians, Hebrews), humanity is both finite and sinful and dependent on divine salvation by grace through faith. God needs to guide people for fuller truth.

Bullet Wednesday: Theocracy/Theonomy

Skippingtothepiccolo.com

Winnipeg Free Press: Paul Wiecek, June 13, 2017  Cited: 'But what does the Nashville experience really prove, other than fans everywhere will cheer a winner?'

•Cited cont.:There’s a reason NBC’s cameras caught Bettman fawning all over Hill during Game 6 Sunday night, and it’s because Bettman knows it could be a very, very long time before hockey attracts that kind of star power again. The test of whether hockey is working in a market isn’t how well the fans support a winning team — that's the easy part. The real test is how well they support the local side when they’re losing.'

•Cited cont.: 'Fans in Canada and a tiny handful of American markets cheer for hockey; the rest cheer for winners.'

•Many people in Canada, especially me, become tired of losing National Hockey League clubs, but I think the author's point is a good one. Regardless of whether or not a club is distinctly successful, overall, a club generally, will do financially better in a market where that club and sport is significantly culturally relevant. Admittedly, that may now be the case in Nashville, but in general, it is more true in traditional hockey markets. And the larger those traditional markets, the better is it for franchise value. Therefore, I philosophically support more teams in traditional hockey markets.

•Quebec City and its new arena are not in line to receive a franchise, in a similar way to Hamilton and its now outdated arena.

•Much of what one labels, depends on where one is philosophically standing...

•Howard James Bartel: 'The biblical first church was built on voluntarism. That is not the same as socialism. The former involves consent, the latter does not.' From my years of study, I would conclude this is correct, Chuckles.

•Although a moderate conservative, I can agree that some left policies would be in agreement with the New Testament and some right policies. But a serious, fatal problem is the universal sinful nature of humanity (Romans 1-3 and following) corrupts any system of government, left, middle or right. Therefore, too much power increases the possibility of more corruption. Can we not observe this? There needs to be reasonable checks and balances between government and personal rights and freedoms.

•As a theologian/philosopher, in this realm, I am dead-set against any theocracy or theonomy whether left or right or other. I do not want anyone trying to force my religion or non-religion. Or any excessive secular state. This by the way, somewhat explains my refusal to embrace partisan politics or partisan denominationalism. The increased power can lead to abuse of citizens that do not follow the rules of state/religious interpretation. Or non-religious dictatorship. Empirically, this can be seen historically in many cases with religions, and communism/fascism. In the culminated Kingdom of God, it will be ruled by the perfect God-man, humanity will be perfected from sin, the problem of evil and humanity will not have need in ways that can lead to suffering.

•I do not claim to be a 'fundi' or US 'fundi'. I claim to be a Christian of the Reformed tradition. There is no need to abandon a Christian tag because of this often questionable group, which most Canadian evangelicals, as example, do not embrace in many ways.

Bullet Monday: Kool-aid

While editing a new entry, because of a Blogger error and frozen image application, I attempted to delete the draft.

Sadly, Blogger deleted the draft and the previous post, the original version of this first bullet post. Therefore, a repost and new title.

•Sorry Hockey world, neither myself, nor my good friend, X (not Chuckles) are drinking the Nashville Predators/Gary Bettman 'Kool-aid.' The Ottawa Senators and Washington Capitals both took the Stanley Cup Champion, Pittsburgh Penguins to seven games, unlike the Predators that took them to six. It is not a clear and concise argument in regard to which team was the second best in the playoffs this season. In other words, Nashville is not clearly the second best club at present.

•Further, X and I were both appalled by the lack of objectivity from many Canadian commentators, especially, during these playoffs. It was as if because Nashville is such an exciting city, with exciting fans, in comparison to most Canadian cities, especially Ottawa, that therefore Nashville should be the Stanley Cup favourites. It was as if some analysts were confusing enjoying the experience of visiting Nashville with an objective evaluation of a club's playoff prospects. X and I, both stated as far back as the Pittsburgh-Washington series, that if the Edmonton Oilers were knocked out, the Eastern Conference winner would win the Stanley Cup. X and I do not view near the amount of National Hockey League games as do the commentators. How could we observe this and predict as the most reasonable occurrence and many of these commentators did not? An answer is, the pursuit of objective evaluation and objective reason.

•In regard to Nashville now supposedly according to some commentators, being one of the best hockey markets in the world. As I have noted, according to Forbes, the club is 26/31 for franchise value in 2016. Well behind, Ottawa. I reason this shall rise for Nashville, but there needs to be objective evaluation of this market and not Kool-aid inspired, frenzy.

•At the 'fire' on Saturday, Cousin Buff told a story of a Father and friend that had lightly disciplined his teenaged daughter by grabbing her arm and soon through her Secondary School, the Father faced an RCMP interview, and discipline from I assume, the Ministry of Children and Family Development.

•Yesterday, I was at London Drugs. A young man of his late teens, it appeared, kindly opened the mall door for what appeared to be his Mother and then me. This was a kind extended opening. I thanked him and thought he was a good young man of class. I saw him briefly chat with his likely Mother, and then an older man appeared in front of them and spoke, I assume an Eurasian language, very sternly at the teenager. Father, I assume, slapped the teenager extremely hard in the hand/arm area. Consider the last two bullets together and angry Father should reconsider his public and private actions.

•I have asked Uncle Chuckles to the downtown Vancouver, TriCities Church fundraiser, Friday. With Pope Chucklins status as a known Mennonite saint, he should be embraced and on his way to being a church Elder upon entering the facility.

Partisan politics & prayer

Last night: Downtown Vancouver
Partisan politics & prayer

Non-exhaustive

Based on biblical, Reformed doctrine, all persons via the human fall (Genesis 3) are corrupt in nature and choices (Romans, Galatians).

All human institutions are tainted by sinful human nature and choices.

All political parties are tainted by sinful human nature and choices.

Politics is often by its nature, partisan.

The New Testament Church, although tainted by sinful nature and choices, was not primarily politically focused. The Church was gospel focused when led by the Holy Spirit through the atonement and resurrection work of Jesus Christ applied to the elect. The Church is not yet perfected as the resurrection (1 Corinthians 15) and the culminated state (Revelation 20-22) has not yet occurred.

Therefore, partisan Christian support for political parties should be tempered by a prayerful, reasoned, objective approach.
---

Further:

This writer is tainted by sinful nature and choices.

Sinful human nature and choices, leads to tainted acts and actions.

I am not stating that that there is no legitimate, reasonable, political preference. I am stating that due to the human condition, political support should be tempered with objective reason. And tempered by prayer to receive that reason.

Dr. Russ' Unique Travel Highlights

Travel documentaries sometimes focus on non-tourist sites. Well, here is that type of tourism entry.

Childhood

Anaheim, 1975

As a small child, I foolishly tried the Mad Hatters Tea Cup and tossed my tea and cookies. A child has to know his limitations (re; Magnum Force, 1973).

Scotland, 1976

Big brother and I find unique ways of touring closed castles and torture chambers for 'free'.

I learned that many people were tortured and killed in Europe during the Middle Ages, by the Church-State, for following conscience. Often both sides claiming Jesus Christ and God. Surely, this was not biblical, I thought.

British Columbia wilderness, the late 1970's

An Uncle demonstrates a unique way of putting out the campfire for the night. I, as small child, do not follow...

Atlanta, 1982

I tag along with the family for an Amway convention, but we are told by organizers that downtown Atlanta is too dangerous to walk in, unless in a group. I am grounded to the hotel room, although we did see the Coca-Cola building, some nice suburbs and eventually headed south for Orlando's tourist sites. Atlanta was my first experience with a population of many African-Americans, and they were friendly.

Adulthood

Nevada, 1992
Pinterest
The lone tour highlight was the Fleischmann Planetarium- University of Nevada, Reno.

Chucky is threatened with police action by the owner of a steakhouse restaurant, as Chucky used the toilet in a prolonged manner without being a customer.

Chuckles clearly disobeyed the sign. I did too, but was quicker...

I explained to the owner, while we walked away, that it was okay, because we were from Canada. As far as I know, 'Deputy Dawg' was never called. The locals generally seemed tired of tourists.

Birmingham, 1995

While (over) touring and walking in England, during lovely summer weather, my one large toenail became very infected and required emergency surgery in downtown Birmingham. The chiropodist criticized previous work done in Canada. I had walked by William Shakespeare's house with an infected toe. This will not be my only surgery in England, see Manchester, December 24, 2000.

Northern England, 1995

A bald punk rocker (?) with his girlfriend and 'walking stick', enters the bus and declares 'I am not ****** standin' all the way to Glasgow! A granny states (paraphrased): This is why our country is in such trouble. We started travelling by the fine British rail system.

Belfast, 1995

A kind Protestant Reverend, by the name of Noel, I believe, very kindly offered to give us a tour of Belfast. He stated he had only been bombed once. I found the 'Irish Out', graffiti, fascinating and disturbing. I much preferred, Dublin.

Greater Edinburgh, 1997

My cousin does his Elvis impression. I suggest he needs a microphone and my cousin breaks the lamp in half to suffice. That was not what I had in mind, I was thinking 'felt pen' or like. This was very funny though, I admit. Life is often not black and white.

England, 2000-2001

My good friend, Si, kindly takes me on chauffeured Arsenal football tours, sitting in the stadium visitor's seating. This being a concept foreign to North American sports. Si, a nice guy, in the choir boy category (literally rivaling Chucky) tells me it is no big deal as he had only been punched in the head twice, over the years. I miss Si and the tours. God-willing, more to come.

Manchester, December 24, 2000

Chucky and I are attacked by three, downtown, that turned out to be a mob of I estimate, thirty drunk punks. I win a fight versus three, but am wine bottled (?) by a British bloke I had drilled with a roundhouse kick and then later cowardly threw the bottle from distance. This was by the McDonald's.

Thus began my years of research and working out with weapons, to this very day.

Manchester, 2001

My neighbour is from what I was told, burgled, tied to a chair and beaten to death, with the front door left open for public consumption. The next day when I visited a local grocer, he stated that he thought I might have been the victim and he was glad to see me. I told him I had legal weapons on my premises, after being burgled twice, faced attempts at intimidation and was bottled.

And of course, as a bonus, I changed Universities from Manchester to Wales. If I ever move back to the United Kingdom, it needs to be a more 'green' area.

Manchester, 2001

I did many long walks after church on Sunday, including one three hour prayer walk. My friend Jeremy told me I was crazy. The walks were (and still are locally) a blessing as I viewed many interesting Manchester sites. Walking in the United Kingdom and Europe is particularly, historically, fascinating for me. I am not a particularly good runner, but I can walk for miles.

Manhattan, 2002

Documentary Man and I come across a proselytizing Hare Krishna, that is soon furious with both of us, especially Documentary Man, by the time to debate is finished. This was by the McDonald's.

Documentary Man, MPhil, Cambridge, a direct decedent of Oliver Cromwell, is asked at a West Manhattan, Burger King, if he speaks English.

Gloucestershire, 2004

After visiting the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David, Lampeter for academic work, I was kindly asked to be best man, master of ceremonies and bouncer at a good friend's wedding. I ended up refereeing a battle between the wedding party and the Vicar and contributed a portion of content to the written wedding ceremony. This couple is a bit like Meathead and Gloria from All in the Family. It was excellent to be involved in their ceremony at a thousand year old church.

Orlando-Fort Myers, 2007

Back and forth on the beautiful and efficient drive from my laser surgeries for vitreous floaters in Fort Myers, I learn that some Floridians in trucks pass on the grass side. Separately, I also learn that unlike in Canada, I would not pull over to the side of the road for any non-essential reason, because frankly, there are just too many scary, noisy, creatures. Believe it or not, I remembered what Orlando and Florida smelled like from my 1982 trip.

Irvin, 2009

My second set of laser surgeries for vitreous floaters in near my hotel and in the same complex as the world headquarters of Taco Bell. I am still not certain if I have ever willingly walked into a Taco Bell. I think I may have tried Taco Bell at my family's house in Arizona. Well, I was looking at the Taco Bell building, I kept wondering if I has ever actually tried Taco Bell. Believe it or not, I remembered what Southern California smelled like from my 1975 trip.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, 2009

While I am walking the airport looking for food, a dark gentleman walking the other way is tackled by security officers. I quickly head elsewhere as there are men that look the teenagers in military uniforms heading his way with automatic weapons.

Kelowna, 2016

On the way to my friend's bizarre attempt at a Christian singles event, we nearly run out of gas (petrol) and then barely avoiding that problem, are then pulled over by the RCMP.  Thank you to my friend's family for hosting me near Lake Okanagan in the lovely 100 degree Fahrenheit weather.

Cutting the grass, no matter what...

I moved into a condominium in 2002 and have not cut the grass/mowed the lawn since 2001 in Manchester, where I suffered a significant allergic incident. It is good exercise though...

When I was toddler, I blamed God for everything

My Mother told me in the past that when I was a toddler, I blamed God for everything.

I was virtually always Reformed.
---

This evening at the megachurch church plant, I broke the plastic tongs in half, attempting to pick up a bread roll. The senior gentlemen behind me stated it looked like I could crush his fingers if we shook hands. Good church rep. for me from the start...
---

I keep running into other Mennonite Brethren at the church plant that state that Chucky is a great guy. He has an almost a cult-like status...

One prosperity gospel preacher criticizes another

I came across this on You Tube today. It features an interesting clash of theology.

Hinn is correct, at least, in criticizing Osteen for not being assertive in regards to the exclusivity of Jesus Christ for salvation and equally importantly, that there is no other means of salvation for humanity.

In other words, the atoning and resurrection work of Jesus Christ must be applied to elected believers in order to spend everlasting life with the God the Father in salvation. (Implied in John 14: 6, also Romans, Galatians, Hebrews). The exclusivity of Christ for salvation is documented within Scripture and reasonably accurate Christian theology developed from Scripture.

Osteen preaches a very watered-down gospel message where at the end of his 'show' one is asked (paraphrased) to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. The atonement and resurrection work of Jesus Christ is not mentioned in the call to accept Christ.

For balance, within the few times I have viewed Osteen, he has mentioned the crucifixion and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. His theology prioritizes prosperity through faith in God with the absolutely essential doctrines of atonement and resurrection, seemingly and with great error, made secondary. His theology incorrectly assumes God will bless a person with success, eventually, if one has enough faith.

Further, from Scripture, it has not been explained in any of the shows I have viewed that everlasting blessings are only for those in Jesus Christ. Bluntly, in my opinion, to preach the fullness of atonement and resurrection, and heaven and hell, in this present era would in most cases, pragmatically, not be as good for business, so a watered-down message is provided.

Both preachers are documented as teaching prosperity theology, which is from an orthodox biblical perspective, considered heretical.

Hinn's supposed supernatural healings are of course very questionable. He supposedly heals persons in a similar way as was done, at times, in the New Testament era through Jesus Christ, his Apostles and disciples. I do not hold to cessationism or dispensationalism; but I also do not reason that miraculous healings will be dispensed, automatically in the last days based on the desires and actions of a minister that calls upon the name of the Lord, in private or in a public auditorium. These types of miraculous healings were not typical in any era and are not typical in this era.
