Cookies on demand?

Being the super-swell son I am, I recently upgraded, for less monthly cost, from Shaw to Telus, for Optic television and internet. I now receive far more channels with better quality digital picture. I also help out my dear ol' Mother, that I homecare for that lives downstairs, by receiving far more movie channels for her to view. Mother has significant health issues and stays at home. I also now receive more UEFA football coverage, but that is another story.

I knew there was no hope in Hades, that dear ol' Mother would be able to figure out the newer and more complex Telus channel system. I tried to write out key channels she views on a whiteboard for her, but to little avail.

Turns out that for the ol' Boss, it was easier to push that big black button in the middle of the remote controller that I now know states 'On Demand'. It was easier for dear Mother to choose through those pretty, colourful DVD covers and select than to attempt to figure out the 100 to 900+, Telus channel, universe.

No harm?

Sixteen films ordered and $59 cost for the month. This done mainly when I am out at night. I caught it near the end and informed her it was pay television and that instead she needed to choose from our subscribed to movie channels ranging from channels 400-500. Mom does not listen to me often. She keeps telling the evening homecare workers how I was adopted when I was ten days old. Is she implying I am still a baby?

Ernest Angley: 'Say baby'! Will that get me any homemade cookie 'cred' out there? Besides other, I am in the market for a grandma, as both grandmothers have passed away and I need a new one...

The good news is that the bill I received stated the cost of the 'On Demand' films is covered by charges I paid when I changed providers. My cost is zero, but I lost half my Telus credit.

The remote has now been placed 'elsewhere'.
