'We may finally have an explanation for the mysterious area just south of Miami known as the Bermuda Triangle.

The Triangle has swallowed dozens of airplanes and ships in accidents over the last hundred years. But scientists say the deadly patch of ocean may just be the result of strange cloud behavior.

New satellite images shows areas of hexagonal clouds with straight edges around the Triangle. Clearly, clouds usually don't form straight lines."The satellite imagery is really bizarre. These types of hexagonal shapes over the ocean are in essence air bombs," Meteorologist Randy Cerveny says in a documentary by the Science Channel. "They are formed by what are called microbursts and they're blasts of air that come down out of the bottom of a cloud and then hit the ocean and then create waves that can sometimes be massive in size as they start to interact with each other."

This kind of turbulent air is extremely dangerous for airplanes, which could be flipped or knocked into the sea by the currents. The waves formed by this kind of wind could tower at more than 40 feet. Not exactly a friendly area for air or sea travel.'

So, I take it, aliens are not responsible for Bermuda shorts either.
