Proverbs 2: 16

The need for Wisdom

King James Version

To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;

New American Standard Bible

To deliver you from the strange woman, From the adulteress who flatters with her words;

English Standard Version

So you will be delivered from the forbidden woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words,

Please note: That is not my grandfather or a relative...

One of the 'waste of time' applications which has continued on my Android mobiles, including my new LG 4 mobile, is Google Hangouts.

I view the application as presenting a platform for mainly idiotic messages.

This May 18, 2016 post is brought to you by the 'waste of time' message:

Quote

'hello, how are you doing?

This message is from, based on the profile photo, a supposedly younger woman that I have never chatted with previously.

If this message was from a friend that I dialogued with at times, it would be acceptable, even though not very inspiring.

At least a friend would usually move onto more meaningful conversation.

However, that type of dialogue from a stranger does not motivate me toward conversation, no matter how supposedly attractive a younger woman is based on a photo or photos.

This statement and question was presented rather than stating something intelligent and thoughtful such as the following options:

'Hello, Russ (Russell, Dr. Russ, Dr. Murray or even Norman!),

>>>

'I find your Google+ page, interesting.'

'I find your Blogger site (s) interesting.'

'I read this interesting posting from you.'

'I liked this photo you posted,'

'What do you think of this topic?'

'I disagree with what you stated, and this is my view.'

Instead, I received the lazy intellectual and uninspired message from someone I have never dialogued with before in my life:

'hello, how are you doing?

I would even respect a teasing comment such as...

'Your new photos look better than your older ones.'

In other words...

'You are not as ugly as you were in years past.'

At least this shows some actual sincere, actual interest in me.

In the middle of morning work, I briefly replied that I was working in various ways and was seeking PhD related employment.

Rather than a reasoned out thoughtful response, I received back the message...

Quote

'Ok

So you at work now'

I could have received that message from a five year old.

In other words...

'Do you have time for my bogus scripted attempt that leads me toward asking you how old you are and if you are you married?'

Lame, boring and unethical.

It is as if these 'professionals' think men are so desperate to write with a decent looking younger woman that an attempt at intelligent, meaningful dialogue is not even required.

It also sarcastically assumes that most men, at least, are idiots.

There is no significant effort to demonstrate any knowledge of the person she (supposedly a she) is attempting to dialogue with whatsoever.

It is as if I am on a long list of idiotic gold-plated, potential victims and candidates.

Perhaps at some time she (and perhaps an employer) read that I have a PhD on my Google+ profile.

She is likely the usual very amateurish  'professional', perhaps from another continent.

As usual she operates with the excessive use of lazy thinking and lacking common sense. She does not even professionally bother to appear actually interested in the person contacted and is instead is interested in following the gold digger script.

Good, non-exhaustive options for meeting someone of the opposite sex based in a Biblical worldview:

Reasonable and open-minded online discussion in the context of friendship and possible other.

Attending a large church and Christian events and simply meeting people and becoming known as a moral and ethical person in Christ.

Reasonable and open-minded offline discussion in the context of friendship and possible other.
