Senators 4 @ Canucks 6 in Abbotsford of all places

NHL.com: Viewed my first NHL game since 2007 with Saint Zomba on the evening of the 23rd. This was in Abbotsford, of all places, where I attended Bible School.

Exhibition game.

European football has been my viewing focus since the late 1990's.

The Abbotsford Centre opened in 2009 and this was my first visit to this fine facility. This was also my first live view of the Vancouver Canucks outside of Vancouver proper, and my first live view of the Ottawa Senators. It had been on my agenda for years to see the Senators live. I appreciate God's divine providence is making this happen.

The inside, stadium area was in my mind, and according to many others I spoke to, first-rate and professional. An excellent place to see a hockey game, and I have heard also an excellent place to view a lacrosse game and as well, concerts. It was suggested to me by two people that Abbotsford Centre was like a scaled-down version of Rogers Arena in Vancouver, home of the Canucks.

On the negative, there is not sufficient tables for eating food. The one men's washroom I attended, amazingly had stalls only!  I was told by another patron that was the only men's washroom like that, however. There was a very large cue and frustrated patrons. There was also complaints of how long food and drink service took.

I would gladly see another event at the Abbotsford Centre...

On the way out, I had to temporarily slow down my walk to let the Canucks, General Manager, Jim Benning leave out a side door with the assistance of security opening the door.
