'It's what Jesus would do': Televangelist asks followers for $54m to buy private jet

The televangelist went on to say God told him he needed the Dassault Falcon 7X. “He told me: ‘Jesse, you want to come up to where I’m at?’ He said: ‘Before you ask, I’ll answer: Isaiah 65:24.’ He said: ‘I want you to believe me for a Falcon 7X.’"

He added: “I really believe that if Jesus was physically on the Earth today he wouldn’t be riding a donkey. Think about that for a minute. He’d be in an aeroplane preaching the gospel all over the world.”

And why exactly cannot Pastor Jesse fly commercial airlines? He should save up for a private jet out of his own salary and leave his flock out of it...
Clearly a reasonable and short study of the four gospels will determine that Jesus was on foot in much of his ministry. Jesus largely walked within his ministry. A humble mode of travel. A humble ministry of conservative, financial means.
I am not opposed to wealth, but considering the warnings below (non-exhaustive from the Scripture), excessive wealth in ministry is a definite problematic evil, if not handled correctly through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I suggest, modelling Christ's humble approach.
James 5 English Standard Version (ESV)
5 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you. 2 Your riches have rotted and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure in the last days. 4 Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts. 5 You have lived on the earth in luxury and in self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned and murdered the righteous person. He does not resist you.
1 Timothy 6:10 English Standard Version (ESV)
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
