In the Swedish (with English subtitles) version of Wallander, Season 2, Episode 3: "Kuriren" (2009), the lead drug dealer, Dragomir Mrsic as Jovan, states (paraphrased as no quotes available online) within a renovated church that only weak people go to church, and that a person can make himself 'god' by the becoming the most powerful person to others.
By the end of the episode Jovan crashes his motorcycle on the front lawn of the church while attempting to escape a 'polis' drug raid. He may have been startled by the wandering elderly mother of one of the officers, that had left her care home and had gone for a walk; this time to church in the evening. Perhaps she had a form of dementia.
The drug dealer 'god', wiped out on the green...
