Goth & The Munsters

Saturday night while on a tasks, coffee and prayer run

We see this obsolete hearse in parked on the side of the road in the 'shady' part of Maple Ridge, late Saturday evening. This decades old, outdated vehicle, we presume is now licensed as a regular domestic vehicle in British Columbia.

We first drive by to make sure no one is sleeping inside or worse, etcetera. I then quickly take this photo.

Paraphrased: My friend Walter Thomas Franklin:

Who the heck would want to drive around in a hearse!?

My interpretation which he agreed with:

Who the heck would want to drive around in a former commercial vehicle that transported dead bodies?

His statement cracked me up. We see weird things in this part of town, often.  It is good to ponder on death, however. Thankfully, in Jesus Christ and the biblical God we do have the hope of resurrection (1 Corinthians 15, Revelation 21-22).

This vehicle struck me as Goth & The Munsters. This not out of place for downtown Maple Ridge.
