Always be prepared

Always be prepared.

Expect the unexpected.

Two statements that I try to live by in life, but of course I do not always succeed. The clip is a from February 20, 2007 and features a surprise attempt at goal. The match is Manchester United at Lille in the UEFA Champions League.

I have spent the last couple of days reading and listening to information about the Jesus Family story that has come out recently. Here is the link to the related article I wrote on my hilosophical theology blog.

  1. Two points:

One, I have 25 of the problem of evil questionnaires in so far through the internet. I have not sampled local churches yet but that shall happen soon. If anyone is wondering on whether or not to fill out a questionnaire, I promise that they are confidential. When I receive them back by email I simply check them over to make sure all the questions are answered and then print them and place them in a pile in a briefcase with all the other nameless questionnaires. The questionnaire I email out can also be sent back to me by regular mail as my address is on the survey. One could of course mail it to me with no return name or address. I also am willing to mail out questionnaires and sent one out to England yesterday.

Two, Chucky won two Canucks tickets at work and gave them to me. I am taking another friend to the game and sort of supporting that League that I used to be a fan of several years ago. It will be only the second Canucks game I have seen at GM Place and I will not have paid for any of the tickets. Sounds good to me...

  2. Always be prepared, expect the unexpected... and never trust a Red Devil.

Spoken as an entirely unbiased Arsenal supporter.

  3. When I lived in Manchester from 99-01, I had Arsenal away membership and Manchester United home membership. I viewed some good matches all over the country with a friend who was an Arsenal supporter.
