Bullet Monday: Kool-aid

While editing a new entry, because of a Blogger error and frozen image application, I attempted to delete the draft.

Sadly, Blogger deleted the draft and the previous post, the original version of this first bullet post. Therefore, a repost and new title.

•Sorry Hockey world, neither myself, nor my good friend, X (not Chuckles) are drinking the Nashville Predators/Gary Bettman 'Kool-aid.' The Ottawa Senators and Washington Capitals both took the Stanley Cup Champion, Pittsburgh Penguins to seven games, unlike the Predators that took them to six. It is not a clear and concise argument in regard to which team was the second best in the playoffs this season. In other words, Nashville is not clearly the second best club at present.

•Further, X and I were both appalled by the lack of objectivity from many Canadian commentators, especially, during these playoffs. It was as if because Nashville is such an exciting city, with exciting fans, in comparison to most Canadian cities, especially Ottawa, that therefore Nashville should be the Stanley Cup favourites. It was as if some analysts were confusing enjoying the experience of visiting Nashville with an objective evaluation of a club's playoff prospects. X and I, both stated as far back as the Pittsburgh-Washington series, that if the Edmonton Oilers were knocked out, the Eastern Conference winner would win the Stanley Cup. X and I do not view near the amount of National Hockey League games as do the commentators. How could we observe this and predict as the most reasonable occurrence and many of these commentators did not? An answer is, the pursuit of objective evaluation and objective reason.

•In regard to Nashville now supposedly according to some commentators, being one of the best hockey markets in the world. As I have noted, according to Forbes, the club is 26/31 for franchise value in 2016. Well behind, Ottawa. I reason this shall rise for Nashville, but there needs to be objective evaluation of this market and not Kool-aid inspired, frenzy.

•At the 'fire' on Saturday, Cousin Buff told a story of a Father and friend that had lightly disciplined his teenaged daughter by grabbing her arm and soon through her Secondary School, the Father faced an RCMP interview, and discipline from I assume, the Ministry of Children and Family Development.

•Yesterday, I was at London Drugs. A young man of his late teens, it appeared, kindly opened the mall door for what appeared to be his Mother and then me. This was a kind extended opening. I thanked him and thought he was a good young man of class. I saw him briefly chat with his likely Mother, and then an older man appeared in front of them and spoke, I assume an Eurasian language, very sternly at the teenager. Father, I assume, slapped the teenager extremely hard in the hand/arm area. Consider the last two bullets together and angry Father should reconsider his public and private actions.

•I have asked Uncle Chuckles to the downtown Vancouver, TriCities Church fundraiser, Friday. With Pope Chucklins status as a known Mennonite saint, he should be embraced and on his way to being a church Elder upon entering the facility.
