My friend Philip from Southern California shared the following article with me via email.
'‘Hail Satan!’: The new ‘pro-choice’ mantra LIFESITENEWS.COM - July 8, 2013'
Quotes
'In the war between life and death, all eyes are on Texas as the Lone Star State legislature is poised to pass a sweeping late-term abortion ban. Gov. Rick Perry has pledged to sign the bill into law. The lines have been clearly drawn surrounding this progress toward equality and civil rights for pre-born Americans. Not surprisingly, as the pro-abortion side loses legislative battle after legislative battle, its “true colors” are coming into focus. Those colors are darker than many might have imagined.'
And
'Although, our pro-abortion media will not likely give it much coverage, a similar such flashpoint of clarity occurred this past Tuesday in the Texas State House as pro-abortion activists, throughout the day, shouted “Hail Satan!” in an effort to drown out pro-life speeches and an impromptu rendering of “Amazing Grace.” CNN’s Josh Rubin confirmed this astonishing display by tweeting on site: “Crowd of anti-abortion activists giving speeches while a group of people chant hail Satan in the background.”'
My focus in this article is not primarily the abortion issue, although I will state that due to what I reason is reasonable medical and scientific evidence that humanity/human beings begin at conception I am opposed to abortion on demand.
In other words I would only philosophically support abortion as a rare life saving medical measure for the Mother or perhaps in the case of multiple babies. I will not claim to have medical education on the matter and therefore will not attempt to go into medical detail but will remain in the philosophical context.
The issue of humanity of the unborn does not seem to be the issue of philosophical debate, as often or as much as the issue of 'rights'. In particular women's rights on the pro-choice side, and more balance on the pro-life side usually from what I hear and read with concern for rights for women and children.
I have discussed rights philosophically recently on both blogs which can be viewed in archives.
I support the rights of women and children.
But this would be obvious for frequent readers.
As well, I think the issue of whether or not there is a human spirit involved in an unborn child is not essential in the context of the debate, as in since scientifically a conceived zygote-embryo is fully human then the issue of a spirit's existence or not is only one aspect of humanity, although essential according to a Christian worldview separating human beings from all other physical earthly creatures.
Basically a decently rational humanistic view should understand a conceived zygote-embryo as fully human even without accepting the existence of the spirit. Full humanity even without full human development or personality.
My main focus of this article is the question of Satanism.
I remember several years listening to a tape, which I still own and transferred to mini-disc which Walter R. Martin discusses Anton LaVey and the Church of Satan. The understanding was that within this type of modern Satanism, 'Satan' was not believed to be real, but rather 'Satanism' was a form of humanism, a metaphorical form.
I ponder philosophically if some of the pro-choice protesters take this view of Satan and Satanism, or is it perhaps something more sinister.
I am admittedly not an expert on the occult and do not advertise myself as one in the blog headers or in my biography and this is a reason the post is brief, but as a philosopher and student of religion I have reasoned in my mind that over the thousands of years of recorded human history, that it seems quite unlikely that all Satanists were/are actually metaphorical humanists.
It seems quite unlikely that all organized groups of Satanists were/are actually metaphorical humanists or some other type of Satanists that worship/worshipped Satan and perhaps demons in a metaphorical sense.
I. Hexham mentions that in the modern world there many neopagan movements that are connected to witchcraft and even Satanism. Hexham (1996: 973). Some are underground and some claim to be revivals of ancient Druidism, or Greek or Egyptian mystery religions.
In an organized context, not just in an individual basis, I reason it likely that in human history some persons have been and are foolish enough to worship a fallen angel in perhaps the hopes that he and his demons will one day overcome the God of the Bible. Or perhaps they reason that the final judgment of Revelation 20, the lake of fire, an everlasting hell for Satan, demonic beings, and those outside of Christ, is a reasonable resting place worth striving for. Perhaps they believe in Satan and his partners, but not the Bible and that somehow Satan is actually the most powerful finite god or the most powerful entity in existence and therefore is worth worshiping.
There are online rumours, which existed to some extent previously, in regard to Illuminati, that supposedly actually worship Satan and wish to bring in a one world government under the antichrist, but there must be more evidence of such an organization or organizations.

I made up a song about "Satan Claus" years ago. I looked for it, but I can't find it. I think it may have been on a hard drive that was wiped years ago. So then I looked on Google to see if I could find a song on it, since you can find anything on the Internet, and found this (which is very different from the song I wrote):
ReplyDeleteYouTube: Satan Claus by Something Fierce
and this poem:
Satan Claus Is Coming to Town
Pro-abortion activists chant "Hail Satan" at rally
ReplyDeleteOne person says "Hail Satan" at 3:35. The chanting of "Hail Satan" begins at 5:15.

He knows you're on the make
He knows if you've been bad or worse
So be good at it, you rake!'
I suppose it does relate to Western society somewhat.
Thanks Jeff.
The kind of talk at the event is what is not often heard within the mainstream media.

clenbuterol weight loss helps you not to stress about working out and staying active each and every day. The idea of squeezing several hours at the gym or on the track every day is probably laughable

ReplyDelete'Weight-loss drug[edit]
Although often used by bodybuilders in their "cut" periods, the drug has been recently known to the mainstream, particularly through publicised stories of use by celebrities such as Victoria Beckham,[2] Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan,[4] for its off-label use as a weight-loss drug similar to usage of other sympathomimetic amines such as ephedrine despite the lack of sufficient clinical testing either supporting or negating such use.'
I use via my MD two meds and in time one will be ended for metabolism in order to counter sleep apnea. I will stay on one for metabolism purposes.
Your advice is incorrect. If I had not always worked out regularly since I was basically four years old and not eaten moderately, as I always have even with meds I could still have problems with an oversized neck, for example. Exercise is vital along with in some cases the right medicine.
I have a very youthful approach because I workout, but if I was lazy or old-minded, even meds would not be enough.
Excellent way of telling, and nice post to take information on the

This is so crazy I almost can’t believe it happened. In its reporting of Asiana Airlines flight 214′s frightening crash landing at San Francisco airport, bay area television station KTVU identified the pilots of the plane as: Captain Sum Ting Wong, Wi Tu Lo, Ho Li Fuk, and Bang Ding Ow. This happened on air.'
That made me laugh. Thanks, Chucky.

What is with Google+ lowering the + number with Blogs randomly it appears from time to time, assuming it was not done by a person that originally gave me the plus.
If the application worked properly in the first place I would have via Blogger a Google+ bar per post on the bottom as I do for Facebook from AddThis.

I think you read the wrong post, but I could use a chocolate or angel's food cake...
ReplyDeleteThe chocolate is often called Devil's Food Cake. I don't think I've ever seen a "Satan's Food Cake". Maybe someone into catering would know better.

Larry King talks with some guys about Roswell, aliens and UFOs.
ReplyDeleteI thought the man from 'Sceptic' made the most sense.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, in light of claims from Roswell and Nazi Germany of alien crashes it strikes me as highly unlikely these advanced ships would travel billions of miles to crash on earth.
More likely if they existed, they are experimental military aircraft. Perhaps 'aliens' is used as misinformation/disinformation.
This is cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Chandra.
