No shock in regard to the reasonably supported accusations on the video. Spiritual error often leads to more spiritual error. The alleged sexual activity is prolonged homosexual in nature.

Monday Bullets: Glowed better than bowled

New shirt @bowling. I glowed better than bowled...
• Once again, I have been informed that I look like an Italian gangster. My adoption papers state Irish-Swedish-Italian, paternal side.

• I have been enjoying dealing with more Koine, New Testament Greek on my first Blogger website, my academic blog: Dr RNM

• The vast similarities within the Greek manuscripts support and verify a consistent biblical and New Testament theology. The inspired, inerrant original autographs are adequately and reasonably copied. The relatively few differences, assumed by scholarship to be scribal errors and scribal edits that perhaps exist for biblical and theological harmonization, discount a fundamentalist theology of inspired, inerrant, copying.

• For me, God does not typically work in this realm with such things as 'supernatural force fields' protecting the original biblical and New Testament autographs from physical decay, and eliminating the need for copying of original documents. The manuscripts as are make sense in this present, empirical reality; at the same time the New Testament, gospel message is accurately presented.

My good friend Dan the Man Lam sent this to me

A very thoughtful and kind, Chinese friend, Dan the Man Lam, sent me this quite interesting You Tube video.

Daniel, thank you my good friend, message received. I appreciate the advice with the Asian option...

I actually helped Daniel out with similar advice. He now has a wife and two young children. God bless!

Sadly often true

Facebook: The production of reasonable premises and conclusions often requires reasonable, careful, analysis (sure this can be produced quickly some times). The more complex arguments become, the more there is a need for careful analysis.

Wednesday Bullets: Canadian 'news'

• With Prime Minister Justin Trudeau winning a minority government on Monday, my prediction that he will be the Canadian Prime Minister 20-30 years, total not necessarily consecutive, is still in play.

• Some local Canadians need to show humility and admit that they often do not know the difference between fit and thin in a human being. Medical science has informed me I am fit (muscular and stocky) and not thin. Some people are fit and thin. I admittedly have a big head, but thankfully by God's grace, earned a PhD with it. I should start doing martial arts, weapons, workouts with some folks and we shall see who is fit, in at least one sense.

The Ottawa Senators Are Not Moving

Don’t let the declining attendance fool you — the Ottawa Senators are here to stay.

Cited

Attendance for the Ottawa Senators hit an all-time low earlier this month. Since crowd size first started being tracked by the NHL in 1997, the lowest attendance at a Sens game before 2017 was 13,323 — a mid-November game against the Florida Panthers.

• The club is well-documented to be in a rebuild and not likely a playoff contender. This situation does not bode well, at this point, for Canada's only suburban National Hockey League club, attendance wise.

Cited

There are plenty of factors for why attendance is at an all-time low — the government can’t give tickets to public servants, the arena’s in the middle of nowhere, the Ottawa Redblacks have provided competition in the sports entertainment market... the list goes on. Naturally, the conversation shifts to Ottawa’s stability as an NHL-supporting market. If the fans won’t continue to show up, could this spell the end of the Senators?

 • No, they are not moving, for one reason, for example, the team is still profitable...

 Forbes
Cited

In terms of profitability, the team’s revenue and overall value has slipped in the last few years following the same trend as attendance. Prior to that, however, the Senators were right in line with the average growth of the NHL. LeBreton Flats offers a huge opportunity to bring back some of the lost growth.

• By LeBreton Flats, there is a business opportunity, still in process for the Ottawa Senators to move downtown as are the other six Canadian clubs with reasonably new, modern buildings.

Cited

The team also has a major opportunity right in front of them to boost their value in LeBreton Flats.

 • It seems to me, the club has embarrassed the nation of Canada somewhat, media and fan wise. This through controversial ownership and sacrilegiously in Canada, not selling out every playoff game in Ottawa.

 • Many reasoned that Hamilton, Ontario should have been chosen over Ottawa in the 1992 League expansion. As well, the Quebec Nordiques relocated to Denver in 1995, and it seems that a significant number of Canadians in the media, online and 'on the street', would prefer, if Canada only has 7 National Hockey League clubs, that Quebec City replaces Ottawa. An assumption being that Quebec and its new downtown building would better support a team than would Ottawa.

 • To support the League, which I have often been critical of, according to my graphic in 2018, Metropolitan Ottawa had a 2018 population of 1.3 million, this compared to Quebec City at unicef 2019 820,752 in 2019. Approximately, half a million more people live within the metro capital of Canada over the metro capital of the Province of Quebec. Ottawa is the stronger market, especially with a likely downtown building future.

• To be clear, I was sad when the Nordiques left Canada in 1995. I used to watch them on CBC French (CBUFT)! I lost interest in watching the Stanley Cup playoffs until 2000, mainly because we lost two clubs to America (now only one with Winnipeg returning in 2011). But, with a new franchise fee of between 500 million and a billion USD for theoretical future expansions, for me this may be too expensive for Quebec City, that I would deduce would have a franchise value of roughly the same as Ottawa and Winnipeg.  Presently, appropriately 400 million USD, and Ottawa and Winnipeg are already in the League and established.

• I really hope that Quebec City lands a relocated team, from one of the few weaker, non-profitable American markets. But, the club needs to be profitable and a contender and avoid the mistakes of the past which led to relocation.

This made me laugh

Facebook: Thank you, David. This made me laugh...(R2DETOX).

Facebook: Did some 'fundi' take this too plain literally, when it was out of context?
Facebook: Yes, unlike the writers of sacred Islamic texts, for example, Matthew, Mark and Luke were actually associates and scribes within the New Testament era community.

These three were within the early Christian Church.

Amazing how much more accurate to reality the doctrine and theology is (compared to the contrary) when it is historically revealed by the triune God within the Christian community, which witnessed the gospel mission of Jesus Christ, his supernatural miracles, his death on the cross (atonement) and his resurrection.

Matthew, Mark and Luke are also unlike many modern age theological revisionists...

Philosophical & Theological Reflections On Satirical Images: Chicken

Facebook
Thank you to Mr. James Lee. The Christian Church in western society should market itself effectively. However, this should be done without watering down the gospel message and core doctrines and theology. This Christian Church should be relatable to the public, but not a reflection of western society.

Biblically, there is one humanity (Genesis 1-3). Philosophically, I have found that people of all ethnic backgrounds are basically quite ontologically similar, when in similar cultures.
Fox News: With the use of science, yes climate change, pollution and the environment needs to be addressed effectively. But the everyday economy with common sense, also needs to be dealt with effectively.

Clerk to me: Your first time here (In British Columbia)?

Driving A Tesla Results In More CO2 Than A Mercedes Diesel Car, Study Finds

Cited

A Tesla Model 3 is touted as a zero-emissions car by government regulators, but it actually results in more carbon dioxide than a comparable diesel-powered car, according to a recent study. When the CO2 emissions from battery production is included, electric cars, like Teslas, are “in the best case, slightly higher than those of a diesel engine, and are otherwise much higher,” reads a release from the German think tank IFO.

Predictably within minutes I could find an online counter article...

MOSTLY FALSE: “ELECTRIC CARS GENERATE HIGHER EMISSIONS THAN DIESEL CARS”

Cited

We can conclude that the claim: ‘Electric cars generate higher emissions than diesel cars’ is mostly false. The German investigators have only compared two models: an electric Tesla Model 3 and a Mercedes C220d diesel car. Secondly, Buchal and his coworkers did an investigation in Germany and then generalized their claim. More than a third of the electricity in Germany is produced from lignite and charcoal, which are by far the largest emitters of CO2 among electricity producers. Finally, in the last few years, the electric cars have greatly evolved and so has the production of their batteries. The investigation of the German researchers is interesting but the information is not representative on a large scale and is also a bit obsolete. Therefore, this claim is mostly false.

• I am not a trained scientist, but I am a trained academic. A bible of science from Oxford explains that which is empirical, and science that is empirical, is 'Denoting a result that is obtained by experiment or observation rather than from theory.' Oxford (287: 2010).

• In regard to climate science there is a noted consensus by many scientist and observers, but there is also room for terms such a 'mostly', 'interesting', 'bit obsolete', etcetera. In other words, there are philosophies of science and there is room for evolution within. There is room for intellectual, academic tension. Indeed there are theories, based on various empirical results.

Revelation over speculation

Today: An old family table, from likely before I was born, now sits next to my 'television' chair in the loft. This is a response to some in the dark, unintentional breaking of things on the floor, by guess who...

My response to a Twitter friend.

A response I provided to a Twitter friend that (paraphrased) stated that Abrahamic faiths can condemn those with different beliefs. I leave final judgement of others, post-mortem to God...

Those in Jesus Christ from 2 Corinthians 5: 10... 2 Corinthians 5:10 King James Version (KJV) 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. King James Version (KJV) Public Domain

Those outside of Jesus Christ whose names are not in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3, Revelation) are ultimately judged by God (Revelation 20-22).

As I am a philosopher of religion, I enjoy and use speculation, but within my worldview, this is based on the final authority of the Hebrew Bible and New Testament and reasonable, contextual, Christian theology and related philosophical theology.

As finite and sinful, I am not qualified to speculate on the infinite, eternal God's plan and method of salvation at the expense of divine revelation within religious history.

At the same time, within Christianity, I reason there is at times overemphasis by some within the Church, in regard to secondary doctrines which separates believers in negativity. Christianity (those within) does not always demonstrate sufficient love to those with different worldviews.

I also, within Western democracy, accept the existence of various worldviews.

No pain, no Rogaine

Brief chat before the show by the three stooges....

Excellent time last evening in Vancouver, seeing Steve Hackett, former Genesis guitarist, perform Steve Hackett and Genesis tracks (from the Genesis progressive rock era), with his fine band.

Thank you to my good friend, Zombie for paying.

Thank you to my good friend, Chucky for driving (including driving over the barrier at the parking lot at a Tim Hortons, after the show, spilling my tea and terrifying poor Zombie in the back seat).

Thank you to Chuckles, for the excellent, private, back wall tickets. We were partially blinded by the stage lights throughout the show, but no pain, no Rogaine (Not my issue).

Chuck, I am proud of you sir, well-done wearing that cap everywhere now, to protect your dome from becoming too Red-Skullish.

A rowdy fan from the show shouted out 'Supper's Ready' for a song request. Mr. Hackett eventually rebuked the interruptions from the rowdies when he was attempting to introduce music, by using a form of the 'f' word in a serious and humourous way.

I hope we can do this again friends...

Interesting short television sermon

Video 1: I thought she did not look 'hulkish' enough to lift the weight in front. The deception, not a surprise.

Video 2: I thought I would give recording my 1990's  British computer football (one of four games) another attempt. Still not excellent video, but I played well. I have not received significant, video software updates. I am a maniac slide tackler...

Video 3: A relative views much MeTV, and working upstairs here, I could hear the sermon from a 1958, Wagon Train episode, which is at the 38: 30 mark approximately. Season 01 Episode 29 The Daniel Barrister Story.

A very religious husband reasons that medical assistance is of the devil, in regard to needed medical assistance for his wife. The medical doctor provides a reasonable short sermon (paraphrased) preaching, in part, against a person attempting to force one's religious views (or approach to Christianity) on another.

This fictional account does highlight the dangers of religious and Christian fundamentalism that assume without significant prayer, education and reflection with an open mind, that one's private theological interpretations are always superior to those that disagree; that in this fictional case are considered of the devil.

Again, in reality, we are all finite and sinful and should humbly consider that God can speak to others with truth, in various modes, including those in true biblical, Christian faith and philosophy that can assist us. As well, even at times those who have a false worldview can still present some true premises and conclusions.

Bullet Tuesday: He has a super British/American accent

Post card: 1997-2001 era

In regards to online work, via Skype, I received these very kind words from a British colleague that works in Greece.

'He has a super British/American accent.'

Thoughts...

•This professionally confirms that I have a face for radio?

•'British/American accent'. Is this a way kool way of stating of 'Canadian accent'?

Thanks to Mr. James Lee: Context is key.

Fooled by the Joker?

'Joker, Joker, the Devil!' (A take on the old game show: The Joker's Wild)

Together, preferring it to any Stallone film, my good friend, Jamie (Deadman) invited the Red Skull and I to the new Joker film. Jamie's (Zombie's) treat. As usual, the three stooges had an excellent evening.

I am not a comic scholar, I do not care about the lives of fictional characters, and all the different versions in different worlds. But I know enough about the Joker, that in likely any fictional world presented, he will be a criminal that finds intense humour in intense human suffering and pain.

The Joker makes, Dr. Doom, Dracula and the Red Skull seem like gentlemen.

When the Joker's humour and violence predictably occurred within the film, many in the theatre seemed agasped. I heard people behind me telling a child, apparently, that is was okay to watch the screen again.

Many in the theatre seemed shocked when the film ended. (???)

I have one Joker comic book, above, originally from my childhood collection and the cover from 43 years ago provides context for what should have been expected by moviegoers.

Illuminated enough by the 'DC comics and film realms', Zombie and Red Skull were laughing at the most violent parts of the film, while many patrons were shocked. Sigh, some people need to do a little research. One should have an idea of what he/she and especially one's children are going to view, in a public, paid, theatre.

Opinion: I would  not be shocked if a sequel is made with the Joker as the protagonist and Batman as the antagonist.

Is red meat good for you? (Thanks, Chuck)

My dietitian, that is a vegetarian, admitted very recently (paraphrased) via email newsletter, that as science progresses, contradictory data will be in existence in regards to the positives and negatives of certain foods, including concerning red meat. She wrote that it might be fine to have a weekly steak. Well-stated.

Personally, I have found that increasing water intake (Perrier in my case), significantly decreasing sugar intake and maintaining a high fibre diet, is quite helpful for the health. Basically, I mainly leave significant sugar and junk food intake for social eating at restaurants and for social invites. These events are rare compared to eating at home. But, still, we all die in this realm, eventually (Genesis 1-3). I will keep looking like a 'kingpin' and not a beach model.

Chuckles may have at least three secret motives for sharing this article on Facebook:

1. Chuck hopes that the bizarre eschatological bible study from the 1990's, is still in existence and that he therefore has an excuse to hang out at that Vancouver, Burger King. At the Burger King he hopes to secretly listen into strange theories and conspiracies while chomping on burgers. He may sneak A&W food into Burger King to do so...

2. Chucky hopes that continued intake of red meat will assist in his stylish dome staying red in the spring/summer and that he can further maintain his nickname of the Red Skull. Sunscreen? Who needs it? Dummkopf, do not question Skull!

3. Chuckles hopes that people keep buying red meat, so he can deliver it...

Blunt honesty: Special discount?

Vintage American Home
Today, I was chauffeuring a person that wanted to purchase a new desk chair at Staples.

This person was interested in the floor model which both this person and myself tested. It was quite comfortable.

The kindly Staples person stated (paraphrased):

Two reasons we will not sell you the floor model, although you can make a request via management...

1) He might have damaged the chair when he used the crane to move it into the store.

2) People have farted in the chair.
---

I appreciated the honesty and assistance, but thoughts came to mind of visiting a high-end antiques store or auction house, perhaps in Europe or in a major city in North America, and asking for a discount on an antique chair because decades of people have farted on it. and in it....

Special note attached with price tag: This antique chair has been farted on for decades (centuries, when required)

The identical chair, boxed, was purchased.

Impressive 7 @ 2 for Bayern Munich on the road

Impressive UEFA Champions League comeback as Bayern Munich was down 1 to nill, early. Still enjoying the DAZN coverage. Interesting post game show with no announcers. I did not mind it at all, just viewing the Bayern players celebrate after defeating last year's UEFA Champions League finalists, 7-2, at their home stadium in London.
