Polygamous Family

Here we go again! This email just arrived. I thought I would publish this one as an article. The poor 'beggers'.

Greetings!

Dear Sir, Greetings and compliement of the season! In due consideration and trust, I come to you for a profitable business transaction that might interest you. My Name is Zedex Calvaho from the famous Calvaho Family. Calvaho Family is a Polygamous Family and the 6th Richest Family in Sao Tome and Principle. My Father (Late Dr.Tinjankaba Calvaho) died on the 22nd of March, 2003 living Millions of Dollars and Pounds in a Foreign Banks including Large number of Estates and Companies which has already been claimed by the Children's of my Father's First Wife currently parading themselves as the sole Inheritors to our Father's Estates and Funds. This has caused series of problems between our family and the family's of my late father's First Wife and till date, the problem has not been able to be resolved even in Court. However, I have been able to trace our Father's unclaimed Money to the tune of £35.7 million lying at UBS Investment Bank in London. I have conculded every arrangement to claim the funds before the Children's of my Father's First Wife will bounce of the funds for inheritance. In addition, Since the death of our Father, our own side of Calvaho Family has been in a serious severe financial distress because the First family has confiscated all that our father has laboured for the interest of the entire families.

Therefore, It is my wish to present you before the Bank for claiming of this funds on our behalf as our own part of benefits from our Late father's funds so that the funds will be released to your nominated bank account without any further delay. We will offer you 40% of the funds for your kindest assistance should in case if this offer pleases you. This funds is the only hope of our livelihood otherwise we will turn to a begger oneday. Finally, I will appreciate if you will send me your direct telephone numbers for discussion of this deal infurther details.

Yours Sincerely, Zedex Calvaho

  1. Hey Russ,

    A couple of things:

    1. I noticed the picture of The Joker from the Batman series. You know who did the voice-over for The Joker's character? Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker). How's that for useless information?

    2. How do all the email scammers find you?

    3. That is my all-time favorite Bugs Bunny cartoon - thanks for posting it! "Stop steamin' up my tail!" Ha! Still makes me laugh!

  2. Hi Wade,

Mark Hamill, yes I knew that one.

Hmm, my guess is that the scammers may find me through the following:

    Blogs
    Christiancafe.com
    MeetChristians.com
One of the music trading sites I am listed on.

Unfortunately, a price I paid to receive as many email questionnaires as I did was to have one of my email addresses listed. I have two others as well, one for each blog, in case someone wants to send me a private message that is not appropriate or wanted in the comments.

I like Bugs Bunny. I must confess that when I was a kid and teen I would do the Mexican slap with my German Shepherd Husky. I would NOT slap him, but would hit him lightly with an old shirt which he would quickly sink his teeth in to.

    Cheers!

  3. How about writing the scammers back offering to clean up their spelling and grammar for a small fee...?

  4. Funny. My Mom already made the comment that I should not post an email with such bad spelling and grammar. I pointed out that although I did not change the content that I cleaned up the spacing in order to make it readable. Mom did not like that!:)

    Cheers!

Thanks for forwarding the original. I can see all of those empty line endings. Consider my following comments:

I would say that the original was typed on a regular typewriter, not a word processor. On a typewriter the writer must press the "return" key at the end of each and every line in order to get to the next line. Between paragraphs, the return key must be hit twice! Then when this is copied by a word processor, the program or software reads those "return" signals too, and goes to the next line instead of just continuing on. That is the reason for all the spaces!

A great indication that this is "scam".

So if you get any more of these, my suggestion would be to ignore them and not spend time passing them around. You can't stop them coming in I guess because the sender name list is so very long, and you can't block a name you
    don't know.

    Those are my thoughts!

  8. Thanks, Mom.

If I publish the scammer emails or not, in general, they will not stop arriving by email. The exception is the Eastern European dating scammers that will stop emailing once they know that I can publish their information on my blog. Therefore at this point I would rather expose these people as frauds in order to bring some good to the situation. Through Site Meter I can see that each week people do web searches on scammers and view my related blog articles and comments.
