Margarida was also the nickname of a famous gay Brazilian soccer referee Jorge José Emiliano dos Santos, who used a very flamboyant style during matches.
His name was Jorge José Emiliano dos Santos - and he used to referee state and national league matches in Brazil - and was actually well respected by the football authorities and teams in Brazil.
He adopted the nickname of "Margarida" - meaning "Daisy" - obviously a very efemminite name.
That is how I would expect Bugs Bunny to act in an old Warner Brothers cartoon.

I can't imagine what would happen if an NFL ref officiated that way! He would probably be pelted by a birage of beer bottles!
